TailStatic includes powerful AI-assisted tools that help you build sites, generate content, and create components.

### Configuration Steps

You can manage your OpenAI settings in the **Application Settings** under the **OpenAI Integration** section.

1. **API Key:** Paste your secret API key from the OpenAI dashboard. Keep this key safe and do not share it.
2. **Available Text Models:** Enter comma separated names of OpenAI text models that should be available for component generation or modifications.
3. **Default Text Model:** Select the model you want to use for text generation and site scaffolding.
4. **Available Image Models:** Enter comma separated names of OpenAI image models that should be available for image generation.
5. **Default Image Model:** Select the default model for content images.

### Feature Rollout and Safety

Once configured, AI features will be available to site builders in the dashboard. You can choose to enable or disable specific AI tools globally:

* **Site Scaffolding:** Allows AI to create a basic site structure based on a description.
* **Component Generation:** Allows AI to write Liquid and Tailwind code for new UI components.
* **Content Assistance:** Helps site builders write and refine Markdown content.

### Monitoring Usage

Generating content through OpenAI incurs costs on your OpenAI account. We recommend:

* **Setting Usage Limits:** Use the OpenAI dashboard to set monthly spending limits.
* **Reviewing AI Output:** AI-generated content and code should always be reviewed by a human before being published live.
